Template Installation

>>> IN CASE YOU ALREADY HAVE AN EXISTING BLOG

In case you already have an existing blog with blog posts and a blogger template that you got from another designer, you might want to save that layout before you put the new one up:

1. Go to section Theme and click on "Backup/Restore" in the top right corner
2. Click on "Download Theme" - your old theme will be downloaded to the folder on your computer that you have set for downloads

In case you are starting a brand new blog, there is of course no reason to backup an old template. You can start immediately with installing your new template.

>>> INSTALLING YOUR NEW TEMPLATE

IMPORTANT: Before you install your template file make sure that you have taken out the template file from the zip-file that you received from me. You do this by clipping or copying the template file (the file with extension .XML) and pasting it anywhere on your computer as long as it is outside the zip-file. If you try to install the template file straight from the zip-file you will get an error message from Blogger.

Now to install the new template, follow these steps:

1. Go to section Theme and click on "Backup/Restore" in the top right corner
2. Click on "Choose file" and select the blog template file from the zip-file you've downloaded after purchase. The template file is the file with extension .xml
3. Then click on "Upload" - your template is now up and running!

Please do not panic when you go to view your blog after installing the template. You will see a replica of the demo template and probably a lot of junk widgets scattered all over the screen. If you follow all the steps in this instruction guide, we will take care of all of that. Have faith ;-)

>>> ENABLE MOBILE RESPONSIVENESS

After you've uploaded the template to your blog, follow these instructions to make sure your blog template will be responsive on all devices. This is necessary, because Blogger forces its own plain responsive version on some devices.

1. Go to section Theme and click on the Settings icon on Mobile
2. Select "No. Show desktop template on mobile devices."
3. Save the changes
